Everything in The Ritual Room was chosen with intention. From the infrared heat to the Himalayan salt and red light therapy, each element exists for a reason. Together, they work to support your body, calm your nervous system, and create a space that feels grounding, restorative, and deeply human — a place where you can slow down and come back to yourself.
Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about using the space, so you can arrive feeling informed, comfortable, and at ease.
-
When you arrive, you’re welcome to head directly into The Ritual Room at your scheduled time. Once inside, head straight back to the table where you’ll find some palo santo to light. Leave your intention in the journal so your ritual has purpose + meaning.
If using the sauna, turn it on, place your towel down, get comfortable, and choose your experience — silence, your own music or our suggested playlist via the QR code in the room. The sauna has speakers you can connect to via Bluetooth.
You may also incorporate red light therapy at any point during your session, or simply sit quietly and rest.
If using the red light, place it on the ground just outside of the sauna. Please do not bring the lamp inside the sauna.
As your time comes to a close, slow down. Hydrate, cool off, journal, meditate, or rest in stillness in the zero gravity lounge chair before transitioning back into your day.
This flow is simply a guide. There is no right way to use the space — let your body and nervous system lead you.

Infrared heat works differently than traditional saunas — it penetrates deeper into the body at lower temperatures.
Common benefits include:
Increased circulation
Muscle and joint relief
Support for detoxification through sweat
Reduced stress and tension
Nervous system regulation
Post-exercise recovery
Improved sleep for many people
The experience is often described as deeply soothing rather than overwhelming.
-
Most guests spend 20–40 minutes in the sauna, depending on comfort, experience, and intention.
If you’re new to infrared heat, start with 15–20 minutes
Seasoned sauna users often enjoy 30–45 minutes
Listen to your body — there is no benefit to pushing past comfort
Hydration before + after is essential. Resting quietly in the space afterward can be just as valuable as the heat itself.
-
All three options are beneficial — it simply depends on what your body needs.
Before yoga: Gently warms muscles and joints, helping you move with more ease
After yoga: Deepens relaxation, supports recovery, and extends the nervous-system benefits of practice
On a separate day: A beautiful standalone ritual for stress relief, circulation, and nervous-system reset
Many members rotate between all three depending on their week.
-
If you’re planing to use the sauna, please bring your own towel.
Some water to sip throughout your session will also support your ritual.
-

-
The salt wall adds a grounding, mineral-rich environment to the space.
Potential benefits include:
Supporting respiratory health
Creating a calming, negative-ion rich atmosphere
Helping purify the air
Enhancing the sense of relaxation and clarity
Whether or not you feel a physical effect, most people notice a calmer, clearer breathing experience while in the room.
-
Red light therapy supports the body at a cellular level and is often used for:
Muscle recovery
Joint support
Skin health
Reduced inflammation
Improved circulation
Tissue repair and healing
It’s non-invasive, gentle, and can be used alongside the sauna or on its own.
-
Red light therapy is safe for the eyes when kept 18-24” away.
That said:
You may close your eyes or turn your body slightly away if you prefer
If you have light sensitivity or a medical eye condition, consult your provider
If you’d like to hold the lamp closer to your face, there are complimentary goggles in the Ritual Room that are available to use.
